[Maillist] 8 car burglaries

Dear Neighbors,
2 car stereos have been stolen in our neighborhood recently.

Last night a red SUV's window broken to remove a sound system  at the 
corner of  Pearl at 17th.  The vehicle did not display a JNA parking  
tag.

6 weeks ago the Swaffars brand new sound system was taken the same way 
with the car window broken.

I remember these buglaries from the past year:

1. Bill  Monroe's tenant's car stereo stolen with the car under a 
bright light in the driveway
2. Bill Monroe's cell phone in the car with the car under a bright 
light in the driveway
3. Jean Graves' tenant's car stereo (window smashed, back seat torn up) 
under a bright light in the driveway
4. Larry Little's car stereo
5. Sig Aronsons' car  was stolen
6. Phil Wiley's car was burglarized


The police suggest : keep cell phones, jackets,  sun glasses, CD's etc. 
out of sight.

Perhaps we need to have removable sound systems.
